Sticky Honey Soy Chicken Skewers

Quick to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 800g chicken breast, cut into cubes

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • Sesame seeds and spring onions (for garnish)

  • Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 min)

Method:

  1. Mix soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar.

  2. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Thread chicken onto skewers and grill or BBQ for 8–10 minutes, turning often until cooked through and caramelised.

  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.

Serving Tip: Serve with rice or a crisp spring salad for an easy outdoor meal.

Swop Option: Chicken breast can be replaced with thigh fillets!
