Garlic Butter Steak with Roasted Vegetables
Ingredients:

  • 2 premium steaks (ribeye or filet mignon)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 cups assorted vegetables (carrots, Brussels sprouts, bell peppers)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Toss vegetables with olive oil, salt, and pepper; roast for 25 minutes.

  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.

  3. Sear steaks for 2 minutes per side until browned. Reduce heat, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Baste steaks with melted butter for 3-4 minutes for medium-rare.

  4. Rest steaks for 5 minutes, serve with roasted vegetables, and enjoy!

Meat Tip: How to Achieve the Perfect Sear
Pat your steak dry before seasoning, and make sure your pan is smoking hot before adding the meat. This locks in flavour and creates a rich, caramelized crust.
