Creamy Tomato Chicken Skillet Dinner

A combination of basic ingredients to create a sensational taste! 


  • 30ml olive oil
  • 4 chicken breast 
  • 5ml salt, divided
  • ½ tsp cracked black pepper
  • 30ml tomato paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5ml fennel seeds
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, divided
  • 4 cups kale, torn into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves, thinly sliced


  • Season the chicken with the salt and pepper. Sautee the chicken breast in olive oil until golden brown and crispy. Set aside. 
  • In the warm skillet used for the chicken fillets, add tomato paste and fennel seed. Stir the content and add the crushed tomatoes, and allow the sauce to simmer. If you like your food with a little more kick you can add some chilli flakes.
  • Add heavy cream, parmesan, and kale to the content in the skillet.
  • When the kale looks wilted, add the seared chicken breasts back to the skillet, and cook until the chicken is done! Internal temp for chicken is 74 Celsius.
  • Your dish is ready to serve. Top your dish with grated cheese and fresh basil.
